Unbreakable Heart- Chapter 17

Chapter 17-

“Alright Tomahawk, use Sky Uppercut on Mila!” Mei shouted.

“Tiny, use water gun on Liam!” Nate ordered.

“Liam, wild charge.” Touya said.

“Aerial Ace.” Touko said calmly.

The blaziken ran at Mila, readying his attack. She ran straight at him, her claws extended. Nate’s Blastoise opened his mouth and shot the water beam at Liam. He covered himself in electrity and ran right into the water attack before hitting Tiny. Tomahawk hit the ground hard at the same time as Tiny. Both Nate’s and Mei’s Pokémon were out while Mila and Liam were just fine.

“This was a bit more challenging than the actual gym battle was this morning.” Mila said, sighing as she helped Tomahawk to his feet.

“You saying that Brycen wasn’t that hard to beat?” Liam asked as he helped Tiny. The female snorted.

“Like a walk in the park. You shouldn’t have any trouble.” She said.

“You alright, Tomahawk?” Mei asked as the four trainers walked to the center of the field.

“I’m sorry Mei. I failed.” The Blaziken said. She shook her head.

“No. You did great. Touko is just stronger than us. We’ll keep training alright?” Mei said and nodded.

“Here.” Touko said, pulling out a hyper potion for both her siblings.

“You guys did great. But you have to be prepared for surprises.” Touya said.

“Like how Liam knows wild charge? Didn’t see that coming.” Nate muttered.

“Or how Mila knows Aerial Ace?” Mei asked. The older twins nodded.

“Exactly. I taught Liam Wild Charge after our battle with Cress, that way we’re prepared for a water move. Man that was not a good day.” Touya said, shaking his head, Liam shuddered.

“Tell me about it. I still have that burn from Scald on my a-“

“Dude, no one needs to know where you have a burn at.” Mila said, cutting the Emboar off. Tiny and Nate roared with laughter as the rest of their teams walked over.

“That was a great battle Tomahawk. It’s a shame you couldn’t win.” Vera, Mei’s Ninetails said. Tomahawk blushed and rubbed the back of his neck with one hand. Mila and Shade, Touya’s Liepard, rolled their eyes as Vera shot Mila a sharp glare.

“She is such a pain in the butt.” Shade muttered.

“Wonder what would happen to her if I taught her a lesson.” Mila grumbled. Shade howled with laughter as the Zoroark grinned.

“Yeah, that was awesome, let’s go again! I’m so pumped!” Fluffy barked, not hearing the other two’s conversation. Denya frowned at the Stoutland and Samuel shook his head.

“He’s got too much energy for his own good.” Samuel said.

“Watching him is making my head hurt.” Denya muttered.

“Okay, boy. Calm down.” Gypsy said. The Espeon lifted him up in the air with Psychic until he stopped moving around so much.

“Wee! I’m flying!” Fluffy howled. Touko and Mila face palmed at the same time.

“He is so Nate’s Pokémon.” Touya muttered, Mei only nodded in agreement.

The air around them grew still and all Pokémon tensed before gathering around their respected trainer, growling. Liam and Tomahawk wrapped their arms around Touya and Mei. Tiny stepped in front of Nate protectively while the others gathered around them. Mila crouched in front of Touko while Samuel coiled around her. Even Cheren, Silver and Bianca, who were sitting off on the sidelines, had their Pokémon protecting them.

“What the hell?” Touya said.

“Tomahawk, let go of me!” Mei said but he shook his head stubbornly.

“Tiny, what are you doing?” Nate asked.

“Not again.” Touko muttered. “Come on out ya basterds, I know your there!”

“What the fuck is going on? Let go of me you big oaf!” Silver yelled as Feraligator crushed him in a tight hug. A loud whoosh was heard and three people with snow white hair appeared around the four siblings.

“Impressive you were able to detect us.” The first triad member said.

“I tend to remember things that make my team tense.” Touko said, her eyes narrowing.

“What is going on?” Silver repeated. Liam gave a snort.

“He’s allowed to say fuck but I can’t say a-“

“Not my responsibility.” Mila cut Liam off for a second time.

“Oh and I am? That’s a change.” Liam said.

“We have bigger problems at the moment.” Denya growled.

“We, the shadow Traid, are beings of the shadows, and not easily noticed by humans. Leader Brycen is one of the few that can notice us. In fact here he comes now.” The second triad said. The doors to the center opened and Brycen came running out with Beartic by his side.

“What are you doing here? What do you want?” Brycen asked.

“Our Mission was to speak only with Miss White, but so be it…” The third said.

“Our Lord N has a message for you. Come to dragonsprial tower.” The second said.

“It is there that he waits to speak to you.” The third said.

“Now, our mission is complete.” The first said.

“Dragonsprial tower? What is going on?” Brycen asked.

But the trio had already left by the time he had spoken. Liam, Tomahawk and Feraligator all released their grips on their trainers. Samuel uncoiled from around Touko and they all seemed to relax some. Touko returned everyone but Mila, clipping them to her belt.

“I’m going to dragonsprial tower.” She said firmly. Touya, Cheren and Silver all exchanged looks before turning to the brunette.

“We’re going with you.” They said in unison along with Brycen.

“Even if I say no, you’ll ignore me right?” She asked.

“Yep.”

“Fine. Just… Stay out of trouble alright?” She said. The others nodded.

“You sure that they’ll be alright?” Touko asked as Mila, Shade, Touya and herself ran towards the top of dragonsprial tower.

“Dude, it’s Silver, Cheren and Brycen against Plasma. Give them a bit more credit.” Touya said.

“That’s what you said about Cheren learning to drive last year.” Touko muttered.

“How was I supposed to know he would hit that tree?” Touya asked. The building shook and a voice was heard yelling.

“BURN, BABY, BURN!” N yelled. The twins stopped and stared at each other.

“Is he insane?” Touya asked. Touko snorted.

“Course. What, are you new here?” She asked.

“Ha-ha. Let’s go.” He said.

It wasn’t long before they ran into another group of Plasma members. Touya stayed behind with Shade while Touko and Mila went on ahead. They reached the top of the tower and slowly entered the room. N stood in front of the two females. Touko’s eyes were wide.

“Reshiram.” She breathed.

‘So. She accepted the boy as her hero then. Fascinating.” The voice muttered.

‘This really the time to remind me that I’m crazy?’ She asked it.

‘Yes, but you’re not crazy. ’ It said. Touko wanted to face palm right there.

‘Really? Because I know a couple of people who would disagree with you.’ She snapped at it. Reshiram’s eyes rested on Touko and a sort of twinkle was seen in them.

“Brother….” She growled. Touko and Mila exchanged confused looks and N turned around. A smile appeared on his face. He spread his arms wide.

“What do you think Touko? How do you like the beautiful form of the Pokémon who appears before and fights beside the hero that will lead the way to a new world?” He asked. Touko shook her head and gave him a sad look. She really wished this was all just a bad nightmare and she would be able to wake up back at her home in Numvea, get ready for work at the strighton café and live a boring life. But it wasn’t. This was reality.

“N. What have you done?”
